Our community builds on our core values of joy, achievement, generosity, unity, acceptance, and resiliency (JAGUAR). In that spirit, our social-emotional curriculum is designed to develop the successful management of life tasks such as learning, forming relationships, solving everyday problems, collaboration, and growing into later skills of adolescence including decision-making, conflict resolution and being resilient against negative peer pressure or substance abuse.  We use a research-based curriculum accompanied by a bullying prevention program.  Created by a partnership through Harvard University and McLean Hospital, the Program in Education Afterschool and Resiliency (PEAR) provides a social-emotional diagnostic tool to help us improve our program and assess its effectiveness. In addition, many students receive additional levels of social emotional support.  See our Full Service link for more information.
