A base salary of $42,000 and competitive benefits package
Wednesday professional development sessions - students have a half-day so that our educators can learn
Clear curricular materials, regular observations, and dedicated coaching
Opportunities to get involved in our community further, for additional hourly compensation: ATs are paid at an hourly rate to work in our Extended Day Program, Summer Program, and Acceleration Academies (Winter & Spring Break) lead an after-school club, coach a sport, provide translation services, and more.
Opportunities to continue their education and pursue licensure with the Massachusetts Department of Secondary and Elementary Education:
Many developing educators at Bridge Boston have pursued Master’s degrees while working as an Associate Teacher or Academic Tutor: through institutions such as the Donovan Urban Scholars Program at Boston College, Simmons School of Education & Human Development, Wheelock College of Education & Human Development at Boston University, the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and more.
A tuition reimbursement program of up to $2,000 per semester & stipends to cover licensure expenses
A professional community of educators - who are passionate about removing health and social barriers to education and who believe in educating the whole child - to lean on and learn from!
Qualifications
Unlike many similar teacher-preparation programs, there is currently no limit on the amount of time a person can serve as an Associate Teacher or Academic Tutor at Bridge Boston. This flexibility makes the position great for folks who are just starting out in their career and want to discover what role in the education sector might be best for them, as well as experienced educators who may want to lessen their responsibilities. People of all experience and education levels are welcome and supported in these programs.

Bridge Boston has been dedicated to educator development since 2011. Originally known as the “Teaching Fellows” program, Bridge has supported 56+ developing educators in their careers over the past ten years.
74% of developing educators pursued a Master’s Degree while working at Bridge Boston
